Our Roots
In 2019, after five years of hobby woodworking and loving encouragement from friends and family, my husband, Brandon and I established Common Good Woodworks. We make one-of-a-kind, hand-made wooden specialty kitchen items from all kinds of wood – trees that have been damaged, fallen or needed to be removed for some reason, scraps from our local wood suppliers, or a beautiful piece of wood at a great price. We take the wood and create functional art pieces that can be used in the kitchen and dining areas or throughout the house.
Our inspiration for Common Good Woodworks can be found in 1 Corinthians 12:7, “To each one, a gift is given for the common good.” We believe we have a responsibility to utilize our gifts and talents for the benefit of the communities we are placed in; specifically, the less fortunate – those who have fallen on hard times and need a little support to reach their goals.
